King Solomon's Reign in Israel

Lets continue reading the bible together! 
 
This week, in episode 17, we spend time in 2nd Chronicles. 2nd Chronicles runs parallel to 1st and 2nd Kings and recaps their stories, with so many more details.

Episode 16: Final Reading of First Chronicles

Welcome back to the She Has Faith podcast!!
 
I am overjoyed to be kicking off 2025 continuing to read the bible together! This week's episode is finishing First Chronicles. 
 
We read a great recap of so many stories in the bible that we've read. It is such a beautiful reminder of the story we've read so far. I also love the psalm of Thanksgiving in Chapter 16. My favorite verse is 21 "Yes, He rebuked kings for their sakes, saying, "do not touch my anointed ones, and do my prophets no harm". This shows God's protection and love for us!

Lets wrap up 2nd Kings together

Hi guys! Welcome to week 15 of the She Has Faith Podcast, where together we're reading the bible in one year. I am loving this journey with you and I hope that you are, too! 
 
This week's episode is a little different... in the sense that it is only 8 minutes long. The book of 2nd Kings tells the stories of 20 Kings... 20! If I shared all 20 stories with you that would be such a long podcast episode and I would for sure lose some of you. So as the host of this podcast, I chose to make it super short instead and share 4 impactful stores that tell about the events in 2nd Kings.

Episode 13: We're 25% of the way through the bible

Welcome to week 13, which means we are already 25% of the way through the bible. Time is flying by! 
 
This week we really learned about loyalty - family loyalty, loyalty to your parents and most importantly loyalty to God. 
 
I saw something on Pinterest this week that said from the book of Joshua to the book of Esther is all about history. We're smack dab in the middle of that! So we'll be spending the next few weeks on the history of Israel and the history of God's relationship with mankind.

Episode 12: David is victorious with God

The main lesson I took away from this week was truly seeking God. David sought God's direction with everything. And it is because of that, I truly believe, that David was victorious!

Episode 11: Ruth's Character + David and Goliath

Welcome to week 11 - where we get to read about the loyalty of Ruth and the bravery of David. 
 
This week we read all of the book of Ruth, which is only 4 chapters so that was an easy read! I love the story of Ruth and reading about her loyalty, her hardworking nature and just her overall character. Definitely a woman to admire! 
We also read the first 17 chapters of 1 Samuel and learn the full story of David and Goliath.

Episode 10: The people stop believe in God

Get ready for a rollercoaster, whiplash book in the bible! 
 
Last week, 7 days ago, we celebrated the people of Israel coming into the promise land of Canaan. However, this week we read the full book of Judges and boy oh boy do things change.
 
The people of Israel switch between believing in God and not believing in God quicker than a green light changes red! 
 
Come spend the next 25 minutes with me as we read about the 6 Major Judges in the book of Judges in the bible.

Episode 9: Israel crosses into the promise land

We're here! We made it! The people of Israel cross into the promise land from God THIS WEEK! 
 
Chapter 2 kicks off with a familiar scenario of Joshua sending men into Jericho to spy on the land. However, it goes much differently this time! 
 
We also read the back story of the well known bible verse, Joshua 24:15 "For me and my house, we will serve the Lord". I love learning the back stories of verses. This verse is saying so much more than my house serves the Lord. It also says my house will ONLY serve the Lord of our God.
